The aim of this project is, starting from the project cluster „Coastal Research North Sea – Baltic Sea“ as nucleus, to create a stable German Coastal Research network. The Consortium German Marine Research (Konsortium Deutsche Meeresforschung, KDM) supports in this project the national and particularly the european networking of the coastal research by providing and organisation of necessary communication platforms.
The KDM will take part at the strategic planning and political embedding of the national conference as well as the final conference of the project cluster. On a long-term basis, the KDM will continue the by the project initiated national conferences about coastal research. Coordinated with the activities belonging to the project „Fit for Brussels – FFBMeer 2.0“, the KDM will plan an event to give the German coastal research the opportunity to take part in the european programme planning and to discuss with employees of the EU commission and the EU parliament about the significance of coastal research for a sustainable use of the seas.
The KDM supports the in the project planned knowledge transfer into the society by spreading the information materials (flyers and synthesis brochure) over own information and communication channels. Also the planned summer schools will be advertised over the information and communication channels of the KDM.
